Attack and speed versus mass and endurance
Fire has attack 95 and speed 88; Diamond has attack 72 and speed 65. Diamond leads in mass (96 vs 76) and endurance (98 vs 68). This is a contrast in ratings, not fire damage versus diamond armor: neither character has a special elemental ability.
Launch experiments
With Fire, test early contacts without repeatedly exhausting your own energy. With Diamond, compare lower-contact launches. Do not infer a fixed counter relationship from one round or from the preset tier labels.
What these comparisons can tell you
Ratings describe trade-offs, not measured win rates. There are no elemental counters, ring-out wins or shape-specific damage. Launch settings and random critical clashes can change the outcome.
Try a repeatable local test
The button selects both tops in local 2-player mode; it does not start an automatic battle. Player 1 sets power and angle, then Player 2 sets theirs. Begin with both at 70% power, record both angles and the outcome, then change only one setting. Repeat rounds because critical hits are random. Local tests do not advance stages or streaks; this starting setup is not an optimized winning build.
